Laoshan Black Chocolate Genmaicha is a genmaicha blend from Verdant Tea. This blend features Verdant’s Laoshan Black, a little Shui Jin Gui Wuyi Oolong, hand crafted wild rice from Minnesota, and organic fair trade toasted jasmine rice. Oh, and organic cacao nibs. I really wanted to try Laoshan Black and this blend, but I was on a budget. So I opted to get an 1 oz of this blend, as I tend to drink more blends than straight unflavored teas. Blushing Geisha from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Blushing Geisha is a hibiscus floral green tea blend from Steep City Teas, one of my favorite online tea sellers. This tea caught my eye right away, but I was a little leery of it. It was expected, from the name, the tea would be red and hibiscusy. Many of us tea drinkers have been terrorized by over hibiscus – vibrant red tea that tastes so tart your throat has a spaz, and that was supposed to be “strawberry tea”? Shui Jin Gui Wuyi Oolong  is an oolong from Wuji Mountains, picked in the fall season of 2011. This tea is from Verdant Tea, an online tea seller. Verdant has some unique teas teas – mostly unflavored but some seasonal blends as well. All high quality. Verdant Teas are very high rated on Steepster, you’ll see at least 4 or 5 on the highest rated teas first page. Three Friends is a black tea with orange, chocolate and marshmallow flavoring. This tea is from Butiki Teas. Okay, I am slightly biased here. I love Terry’s Chocolate Oranges. I’m homesick for Canada and my family, so the smell and taste of chocolate oranges bring me back to spending time with my Dad. He always gave me a chocolate orange for Christmas. Flowery Pineapple Oolong from Butiki Teas – Tea Review

Flowery Pineapple Oolong is a Wen Shan Bao Zhong oolong flavored with freeze dried pineapple. This tea comes from Butiki Teas. This tea is delicious and one of my favorites. With Butiki Tea orders, you can request samples – and this was one of the first samples I got. I held onto my sample for awhile, waiting for the right time to try it. Then after I tried it.. YUM! Coconut Grove from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Coconut Grove is a Pai mu tan white tea accented with rose and coconut flavoring. This tea is from Steep City Teas, a new online seller of loose leaf teas, based in Miami. Hmm. Pai Mu Tan? Please correct me if I’m wrong – but I’m guessing that’s Bai Mu Dan? I’m guessing as I’m learning to speak Korean, and if Mandarin is similar, the romanization of sounds “B” and “P”, “D” and “T” and “G” and “K” get mixed up all the time. Watermelon Xylophone from Butiki Teas – Tea Review

Watermelon Xylophone is a white organic silver needle tea with amaranth and organic watermelon flavoring. This tea comes from Butiki Teas, a great online loose leaf tea seller. I love melon teas. Watermelon Xylophone is on my list of my favorite teas. I practice brazilian jiu jitsu – from that, I was introduced to Watermelon juice. Amazing stuff! After a ragged, sweaty jiu jitsu class, I get home and make watermelon juice. I would get all sticky and gross cutting up watermelon and squeezing out the juice with my gracie juice bag.
