Foxy Roxy’s Banana Walnut Treat Tea is a congou keemun black tea blend with organic walnuts, freeze dried bananas and organic lotus stamens. This tea is blended and sold by Butiki Teas, online tea seller based in New Jersey, USA. Bananas and walnuts are a staple at my house, so whenever I feel like it I can whip up a banana bread or making my husband’s favorite banana pancakes. Banana flavored things are more often misses with me, especially if it has that gross artificial taste. I was the kid who’d give all their banana runts to my dad. I’ve … Continue reading, hoot!

This unique tea blend is by Butiki Teas, online tea seller based in New Jersey. I recently received my small order from Butiki Teas, as I was unable to resist some of her new blends. Pineapple Cilantro Cream is a Bai Mu Dan white tea blend. This unique tea is made by Butiki Teas, US online seller of loose leaf teas. Hmm. I do like pineapple, but cilantro? I do buy cilantro often, but mostly as a vegetable offering for my bunny. Cilantro in tea? Odd, but Oolong Owl is always up for a tea adventure! Butiki Teas does really good blends – but also their Flowery Pineapple Oolong is exceptionally delicious. Caramel Vanilla Assam from Butiki Teas – Tea Review

Caramel Vanilla Assam is a black tea blend with Taiwanese Assam. This tea is by Butiki Teas, an Oolong Owl favorite tea seller. I have heard so many good things about Butiki Teas black teas, especially their Taiwanese Assam. Caramel Vanilla Assam is also highly rated on Steepster, currently riding the first page of the best rated teas of the community. I had to snag this tea with my last, giant, Butiki Teas order. Organic Japanese Puerh from Butiki Teas – Tea Review

Organic Japanese Puerh is a unique offering from Butiki Teas. I’ve never heard of a japanese puerh, so I had to add this tea to my cart with my last Butiki order. DRY LEAF: The tight, chippy looking black leaf smells a little like cocoa and tobacco. STEEPED (Gaiwan): Lovely reddy peach amber colour! First infusion: I did a 5 second steeping with boiling water using a gaiwan. The flavor has a light, crisp and clean coffee note. There’s some other flavors going on too that remind me of roasted chestnuts and barley teas. End of sip is a light sweetness – … Continue reading, hoot!

Three Friends from Butiki Teas – Tea Review

Three Friends is a black tea with orange, chocolate and marshmallow flavoring. This tea is from Butiki Teas. Okay, I am slightly biased here. I love Terry’s Chocolate Oranges. I’m homesick for Canada and my family, so the smell and taste of chocolate oranges bring me back to spending time with my Dad. He always gave me a chocolate orange for Christmas. The first time I got one, I was insistent I break it myself – but I was a pretty weak of a kid. Heck, despite all my brazilian jiu jitsu, my upper body strength is kinda crap. Dad … Continue reading, hoot!
