DAVIDsTea’s Glitter and Gold tea, Sparkling!

If you aren’t familiar, DAVIDsTea’s Glitter and Gold tea is a Chinese black tea blended with gold sugar balls, gold sugar crystals, lemon peel, cloves and vanilla. True to its namesake, Glitter and Gold does sparkle. Admittedly, if you brew this tea normally you might not see the tea sparkle. I owned 50 grams of this tea about 3 or 4 years ago and only once or twice saw it sparkle, an only when I used a glass tea mug. Not too long ago, I was gifted a couple servings of Glitter and Gold tea. One sleepy morning I decided to have a cup of Glitter … Continue reading, hoot!

Shooting Starfruit and Watermelon Mint from DAVIDsTea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

This summer, DAVIDsTea, has mostly fruity herbals in the exclusive summer collection. I did a DAVIDsTea order last week as part of the customary 3 free samples they send, 2 of my samples were from their new 2014 Summer tea line up! The Summer collection will be released tomorrow, May 7th! With that said, here is a quick review of Shooting Starfruit and Watermelon Mint. Since it is a sample size, I only get one shot at the teas. I decided to prepare them both iced, perfect for summer. Both teas I prepared as per the instructions on the package, but with … Continue reading, hoot!

Goji Pop from DAVIDsTea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Goji Pop is a herbal tea blend of apple, goji berries, hibiscus, roships, and honeydew. This caffeine free tea is from DAVIDsTea. Goji Pop is an Oolong Owl favorite. I’ve must of purchased this tea about 4 times now. I tried a sample of it and WOW very good! I then promptly bought a 100g tin worth and have been refilling it every since. Annoyingly, my local DAVIDsTea was always sold out of this tea, so I’ve bought it online most of the time. Dry Leaf Very chunky appearance. Lumps of apple, goji berries, and hibiscus that have petals stuck … Continue reading, hoot!

Jasmine Black Pearls from DAVIDsTEA – Tea Review

Jasmine Black Pearls is an organic black tea offering from DAVIDsTEA. This tea is listed in the Web Specials at DAVIDsTEA‘s online store – with that said, if you want this tea you should act quickly!! I do like my floral teas, but most often floral is present in white, green and oolong teas rather than blacks. I was doing a tea order with a friend and he spotted Jasmine Black Pearls. I totally didn’t notice this tea when browsing around DAVIDsTEA. I don’t drink much unflavored blacks and own some regular black pearls from another tea company. My eyes just skimmed past assuming its … Continue reading, hoot!

Guava Cadabra from DAVIDsTEA – Tea Review

Guava Cadabra is a caffeine-free herbal fruit blend from DAVIDsTEA. This blend features mango, apple, hibiscus, elderberries, and guava crunchies. Guava Cadabra is DAVIDsTEA‘s Tea of the Month for July 2013.   Guava seems to be an uncommon ingredient in tea. Actually, even seeing guavas in stores is uncommon, unless I go to specialty markets. Guavas remind me of a coworker I had who would often eat them like a giant apple – walking around the office with this large green fruit in his hand, taking large bites out of it. I ordered this tea as guava is tasty, unique and I do love … Continue reading, hoot!

DRY LEAF: Buttery, fruit, cinnamon and crumble scent! MMMmm! Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble has bit bits of strawberries and rock sugar lumps. Finding the rock sugar lumps is like finding shiny treasure! Brazillionaire from DavidsTEA – tea review

Brazillionaire is a black tea that features brazil nuts and raisins. This tea comes from DavidsTEA. I’ve been on more of a white and green tea kick. A couple month ago, my tea stash was mostly blacks and I started getting tired of all the black tea. I need variety! There is just so many black tea blends out there and I wish tea companies would experiment more with other teas! Anyways, I figured I should drink more black teas so I don’t get sick of all the white and greens I’ve been drinking. How about a pot of Brazillionaire? DRY LEAF: … Continue reading, hoot!
