Flirt with Me from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Flirt With Me is a green rooibos tea blended with mango, papaya, orange, passion fruit pieces and rose petals. This exotic fruity blend is from Steep City Teas, Florida based tea seller. Yay, a caffeine free tea! I’ve been dropping the ball on reviewing rooibos and herbals these days – I always want to drink these teas at night, but I run into lighting issues for blog photos. Steep City Teas has some great teas (if you follow my blog for awhile, I have a love affair with Steep City Teas’ Blushing Geisha), so I’m excited to review another of their teas!… Continue reading, hoot!

Purple Peach White tea from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Purple Peach is a white bai mu dan (aka white peony) tea with blue mallow flowers and natural peach flavoring. This tea blend is from Steep City Teas, US based tea seller. I do tend to use lots of blues and teals with Oolong Owl, but not so secret with my friends and loved ones, I love the colour purple. I buy so many purple knicknacks and jewelry. I have so much purple yarn! While making my last Steep City Teas order, I already had a white peach tea blend and but I saw Purple Peach white tea as was “Oooh, purple. Buy!”… Continue reading, hoot!

Citrus Sunshine Oolong from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Citrus Sunshine Oolong is an oolong tea blend with ginger, orange and lemon peels, cranberries, blueberries, rose petals and hibiscus. This sunny oolong blend is from Steep City Teas, Florida based tea seller. I’ve noticed I’ve been reviewing a lot of black teas. I did the Black Tea week, and continued reviewing even more black teas. Even though this Canadian living in California is laughing at the “cold” weather here, the “cold” weather is getting to me due to the short sunlight days and temperature drop in the evenings. I’ve seriously been bundling up at night! With that said, time to break… Continue reading, hoot!

Nutty Love Black Tea from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Nutty Love is a black tea blend that contains walnuts, almond, rose petals and apple. This interesting nutty blend is made by Steep City Teas, a Florida based online tea seller. Welcome to Oolong Owl’s Black Tea Week! I’ll be reviewing only black teas this week. I seriously need to drink black tea this week – with US Thanksgiving this week, there is lots of cleaning and cooking to be done. Plus, I need to caffeine boost from black teas to prepare me for Black Friday shopping. I’ve already planned out my tea purchases, have you? How about some black tea? Today… Continue reading, hoot!

Choco-Honeyberry tea from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Choco-Honeyberry is a black and blend that has rooibos, honeybush, honey pollen, chocolate pieces, marigolds, and safflowers. This unique blend is made by Steep City Teas. When Steep City Teas came out with Choco-Honeyberry I was intrigued. This blend is very unique with the use of honey pollen, chocolate and berry flavors. Bee pollen tea. I had a weird experience with bee pollen tea. I was at a chinese restaurant and I was sick. I was served a cup of tea that had a big fat bee floating in the middle. Actually tasted pretty sweet and interesting but was scary to… Continue reading, hoot!

Orange Glam from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Orange Glam is a green tea accented with orange peel and lily blossoms.  The tea is from Steep City Teas. Blarg, I really want pu’er but it’s FREAKING HOT outside. It’s the end of August, it’s Southern California, and ewww so hot!!! Hot tea is not appealing right now, however the Oolong Owl must drink something! I did a huge Steep City Teas order recently and I purchased Orange Glam purely on their Ginger Zinger having a really nice orange flavor to it. Since Steep City Teas is a Florida company, I figure their orange tea has to be good.… Continue reading, hoot!

Sexy Chai from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Sexy Chai is a black chai blend featuring floral elements of lavender and rose. This fun, sexy take on chai is from Steep City Teas. Hmmm, this is the first chai for me to review here at Oolong Owl. I’ll give you tea owlets some background on my chai history. During my last year of university, I loved SPICY chais. I actually burned my tongue on too much spice once when I added multiple tea bags for one cup of tea. After university, I had a bad run in with cardamon, so I stopped getting chais, especially with cardamon in it. These… Continue reading, hoot!

Blushing Geisha from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Blushing Geisha is a hibiscus floral green tea blend from Steep City Teas, one of my favorite online tea sellers. This tea caught my eye right away, but I was a little leery of it. It was expected, from the name, the tea would be red and hibiscusy. Many of us tea drinkers have been terrorized by over hibiscus – vibrant red tea that tastes so tart your throat has a spaz, and that was supposed to be “strawberry tea”? However, after having some of Steep City Teas stuff, I figure it had to be good. DRY LEAF: I opened the package, closed my eyes… Continue reading, hoot!

Bursting Lychee from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Bursting Lychee is a exotic fruity white tea blend from Steep City Teas. I’ve had a number of lychee teas, but more often they are black teas. For the longest time, I’d buy this cheap boxed black lychee bagged tea from my local asian grocery store. It was good and kinda lychee, but also bitter tasting as if I ate the hard lychee skin! I’m really happy to see a white lychee tea – so I bought this with my second order with Steep City! I think the white tea would work the best to show off the lychee flavor and… Continue reading, hoot!

Agua di Jamaica from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Agua di Jamaica  is a fruit green tea blend from the delicious Steep City Teas! I heard that this is one of Steep City Teas popular teas. I’ve never heard of Agua di Jamaica – yay wikipedia! Yowza, that sounds pretty hibiscusy tart of a drink! I’m glad Steep City loaded this tea with lots of berries! DRY LEAF: Luscious, tangy fruity citrus smell! Very interesting appearance with the tightly curled green tea leaves, bright flower bits and fruit! Loads of big hunky fruits. Steep City isn’t kidding around here – get a load of this cherry: (I ate it later on, it was yummy!) STEEPED:… Continue reading, hoot!
