Owly is here at the unveiling of this awesome teaware. Owly and I decided that he will be present for all Oolong Owl achievements and fan mail. This teaware is certainly an achievement. Can you guess what it is?

Let’s take out the tissue.

Folding away some of the tissue, Owly is confused what he is looking at.

A Yixing tea pot! From Hong Kong! My In-laws recently went on a trip and river cruise through China. I asked if they could find me a yixing pot and gave them photos. It was discovered to be a tough task, as there were lots of fakes and such – but on the last leg of their trip, the tea shop near their hotel had it! Here is the bag from the shop!

EEEEE! My first yixing tea pot! So cute and amazing! It will be my lifetime tea partner in crime!

I’m tempted to make this a “facebook life event” – hahahahha I’m a Tea NERD!

I’m still trying to decide whether it’ll be dark oolong or sheng pu’er. I’m leaning on sheng pu’er as that has been my favorite, special tea which would be great match for my first yixing pot. However, if I go with dark oolongs, I’d get more use out of the pot. Decisions, decisions!
