Strawberry Daiquiri Honeybush from 52 Teas – Tea Review

Strawberry Daiquiri Honeybush is a fun, drink inspired blend from 52 Teas / Zoomdweebie’s. This limited time, tea of the week blend is also caffeine free! I bought this tea immediately. No “let’s wait and see if it’s popular” or procrastinating. Though, with 52 Teas, if one procrastinates, it should be kept to a minimum as the teas can sell out! I love 52 Teas honeybush blends. Pineberry Honeybush was pretty funky. Peanut butter cup cheesecake honeybush I worship. I had a few samples of others from tea trades that were fantastic as well. The girlie owls have gathered – they want an… Continue reading, hoot!

Pondi Cherry from New Mexico Tea Company – Tea Review

Pondi Cherry is a herbal fruit blend featuring cherries, cranberries, raspberries, elderberries, hibiscus and blackberries. This herbal tea is from New Mexico Tea Company.   Similar to the Lady Hannah tea review, this 1oz sampler wasn’t labelled, thus my terrible handwritten label. I keep a stack of labels next to the tea stash as I stick on notes about the tea, like steeping instruction changes.  DRY LEAF: Well.. not actually leaf in this tea. Dried fruit chunks and bits? Yeah!   The smell of Pondi Cherry is like sweet cherry fruit leather. Mmmm! I made fruit leather once. I snacked on most of it… Continue reading, hoot!

Peach Picnic from The Persimmon Tree – Tea Review

Peach Picnic is a caffeine free, fruity and citrus green rooibos blend from The Persimmon Tree. I admit, I’m not big on rooibos, but I always am up to trying some as I need more caffeine free teas in my tea rotation. You know, so I can drink more tea at all hours! However recently I’ve been noticing green rooibos is pretty good. Unfortunately, green rooibos blends seem not as common, most likely because it is more expensive to produce. BOOO! The Persimmon Tree does some really great teas so I am happy to give this one a try! I invited Speedster to join… Continue reading, hoot!

Pineberry Honeybush from 52 Teas – Tea Review

Pineberry Honeybush is a caffeine free blend featuring freeze dried pineapple, strawberry and marshmallow root. This tea is from 52 Teas, tea of the week for April 8th, 2013. What the bleep is a pineberry? Lemmie wikipedia it for you. Pineberries are smaller than strawberries, but have a taste of both pineapple and strawberry. Funky! I was hoping to find some for when I reviewed this tea, but no luck. I don’t think I’ve ever seen these fruits in person, and I’ve see some weird ones like kiwi berry/grape things. I knew what a pineberry was when this tea popped… Continue reading, hoot!

Sakura Tea from Yunomi.us – Tea Review

Sakura Tea is a floral herbal tea via Yunomi.us, an online seller of Japanese teas and supplies. Yunomi.us has a large selection of Japanese teas – including Japanese black teas, gyokuro, and matchas! My package came from Japan – sweeet! I received my Sakura tea to review. This Sakura tea is from Kyoto Obubu Tea Plantations, and is made from whole, salt-pickled sakura blossoms. This tea is also a herbal. I wanted to review this tea as I’ve never seen a straight up sakura blossom tea before! I was warned this tea was very Japanese. Ehhh – they said that about some video games I loved like the Fire Emblem and… Continue reading, hoot!

Pomegranate Fruit from Georgia Tea Company – Tea Review

Pomegranate Fruit is a herbal fruit tea blend featuring apple, raisins, carrot, hibiscus blossoms, candied papaya, vanilla and pomegranate and cornflower blossoms. This caffeine free tea is from Georgia Tea Company. I gotta say Georgia Tea Company has some really good tea prices, plus inexpensive samples if you want to try the tea. All the teas I got from Georgia Tea Company came sealed in plastic, but inside a paper bag to keep your tea in. I prefer to just seal up the plastic bag as it saves tea stash space. DRY LEAF: Pomegranate Fruit smells like dried fruity trail mix with raisins.… Continue reading, hoot!

Strawberry Blizzard from Georgia Tea Co – Tea Review

Strawberry Blizzard is a fruit and spice herbal from Georgia Tea Co. This blend features strawberries,  apple bits, hibiscus blossoms, guava bits, orange bits, cardamom, cinnamon, foamy sugar drops, egg protein, strawberry slices and a bit of rose and mallow petals thrown in. FYI, this tea is not vegan friendly! Alright Georgia Tea Co – this is my first time ordering with them. Their teas are very well priced. I actually went for larger sizes as it seemed more of a deal! I’m guessing this tea is supposed to be iced, but might as well be thorough and try it hot. The packaging… Continue reading, hoot!

Lemon Lime Cream Tart from Della Terra Teas – Tea Review

Lemon Lime Cream Tart is a rooibos and honeybush blend featuring lemon and lime bits and flavoring, along with cream and vanilla flavors. This caffeine free tea is from Della Terra Teas. I bought 2 oz of this tea. I knew it would probably be pretty good, since I love Della Terra Tea’s Lemon Chiffon. DRY LEAF: YOWZAAAA! This tea smells fantastic! It smells like sugary sweet citrus – more on the lime side. Really reminds me of a creamy lime mousse. /DROOOOOL STEEPED: Smells very creamy with a sweet citrus finish. Oh yeah! The appearance is a classic red-brown… Continue reading, hoot!

Lady Hannah from NM Tea Co – Tea Review

Lady Hannah is a herbal berry tea blend from New Mexico Tea Company (NM Tea Co). Lady Hannah features apple, hibiscus, rosehip, pineapple, papaya, bramble berries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. First off – with my recent order with NMTea Co I purchased two 1 oz pouches of tea. They both came UNLABELED. NOOOO! Annoyingly, both teas were fruity herbals, but I was just able to tell them apart as one was more cherry whereas Lady Hannah is more berry. I labelled it myself after I figured out what tea was what. I’d be REALLY FFFING PISSED if I ordered a bunch… Continue reading, hoot!

Banana Coconut from The Persimmon Tree – Tea Review

Banana Coconut is a caffeine free herbal/rooibos blend of chamomile, coconut and banana. This tea comes from The Persimmon Tree, a great online loose leaf tea seller. (FYI, this tea was previously called Banana Dulce and went through a recent name change, hence why my tin has the old name on it. It is still the same blend!) I need more caffeine free teas in my life. Unfortunately, I’m not huge on rooibos or chamomile – which is often used for caffeine free blends. Regardless, I still order teas with rooibos or chamomile as I’ll try about anything and I don’t want… Continue reading, hoot!
