Foxy Roxy’s Banana Walnut Treat Tea from Butiki Teas

Foxy Roxy’s Banana Walnut Treat Tea is a congou keemun black tea blend with organic walnuts, freeze dried bananas and organic lotus stamens. This tea is blended and sold by Butiki Teas, online tea seller based in New Jersey, USA. Bananas and walnuts are a staple at my house, so whenever I feel like it I can whip up a banana bread or making my husband’s favorite banana pancakes. Banana flavored things are more often misses with me, especially if it has that gross artificial taste. I was the kid who’d give all their banana runts to my dad. I’ve… Continue reading, hoot!

Fashionista Tea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

I had the pleasure of meeting Fashionista Tea at the World Tea Expo 2014! I quite liked the idea of combining fashion and tea – it also helps that I think tea is becoming more fashionable! What caught my eye right away was the sleek packaging for Fashionista Tea. The leopard print heels are a nice touch. A number of their teas are Fair Trade and Organic certified, available loose leaf and sachets. I also have the pleasure of reviewing some of Fashionista Tea teas! A couple of the feminine Tea Owls were happy to help! First up – Organic Fashionista Blend –… Continue reading, hoot!

Shooting Starfruit and Watermelon Mint from DAVIDsTea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

This summer, DAVIDsTea, has mostly fruity herbals in the exclusive summer collection. I did a DAVIDsTea order last week as part of the customary 3 free samples they send, 2 of my samples were from their new 2014 Summer tea line up! The Summer collection will be released tomorrow, May 7th! With that said, here is a quick review of Shooting Starfruit and Watermelon Mint. Since it is a sample size, I only get one shot at the teas. I decided to prepare them both iced, perfect for summer. Both teas I prepared as per the instructions on the package, but with… Continue reading, hoot!

Plum Oolong from Ocean of Tea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Plum Oolong is an oolong blend with schizandra berries, rosehip, hibiscus asian plum and osthmanthus flowers. This tea is from Ocean of Tea, online seller of loose leaf teas. Ocean of Tea is new to the tea scene, with a small line up of sourced high quality teas from around the world. Very cool name for a tea company. I’d love to be in an ocean of tea, probably green tea, as I figure that be better for the skin. Anyways, all the samples Ocean of Tea sent me smell really good! Let’s sample Plum Oolong. Dry Leaf Wow, Plum Oolong is FRAGRANT! The dry leaf… Continue reading, hoot!

Flirt with Me from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Flirt With Me is a green rooibos tea blended with mango, papaya, orange, passion fruit pieces and rose petals. This exotic fruity blend is from Steep City Teas, Florida based tea seller. Yay, a caffeine free tea! I’ve been dropping the ball on reviewing rooibos and herbals these days – I always want to drink these teas at night, but I run into lighting issues for blog photos. Steep City Teas has some great teas (if you follow my blog for awhile, I have a love affair with Steep City Teas’ Blushing Geisha), so I’m excited to review another of their teas!… Continue reading, hoot!

Chocolate Strawberry Puer from Lupicia – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Chocolate Strawberry Puer is a pu’er, chocolate and strawberry tea blend. This decadent dessert tea is from Lupicia. Chocolate Strawberry Puer has been on my tea bucket list for a long time! I don’t know why, but I kept passing it up or forgetting about it when I was visiting my local Lupicia. When I was in Hawaii, I snagged a bag of Chocolate Strawberry Puer at Lupicia’s Honolulu store. I’ve been wanting to explore pu’er blends, which have been popping up more and more these days, which also can be hit or miss. However, I have faith Chocolate & Strawberry Puer will be good, as… Continue reading, hoot!

Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha – Strawberry and Peanut Butter – from 52 Teas

It’s time to review more Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha Teas! 52 Teas / Zoomdweebies‘ Strawberry Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha and Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha! I’ve previously reviewed S’mores Genmaicha and I also own the regular Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha. Both are excellent teas. I was happy to see 52 Teas came out with Strawberry Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha and Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha. I make some killer rice crispy treats. My secret is extra marshmallows, a generous splash of homemade vanilla extract (made with brandy) or sometimes a whole vanilla bean pod scraped in. My favorite variation of rice crispy treats is to add caramel squares or… Continue reading, hoot!

Purple Peach White tea from Steep City Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Purple Peach is a white bai mu dan (aka white peony) tea with blue mallow flowers and natural peach flavoring. This tea blend is from Steep City Teas, US based tea seller. I do tend to use lots of blues and teals with Oolong Owl, but not so secret with my friends and loved ones, I love the colour purple. I buy so many purple knicknacks and jewelry. I have so much purple yarn! While making my last Steep City Teas order, I already had a white peach tea blend and but I saw Purple Peach white tea as was “Oooh, purple. Buy!”… Continue reading, hoot!

Mango Spiced Chai Tea from Hula Girl – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Mango Spiced Chai Tea is a black tea chai mix sold by Hula Girl. I bought this tea mix from Hilo Hattie when I was in Hawaii, however it looks like you can buy from Hula Girl The Store online, or from Amazon.com. Trip to Hawaii not required! I got this out of desperation as early into my tours of Hawaii, I didn’t see any loose leaf tea, just the bagged stuff. I thought the promise of mango flavor sounded really neat for a chai. I used to drink, I think Tazo Chai Concentrate mix, but moved onto loose leaf chai… Continue reading, hoot!
