Sencha Naturals Tropical Mango Green Tea Latte Mix – Tea Review

Usually I’m pretty good about reviewing a tea early on, as in I’ll drink it a few times before I review it. I got this Tropical Mango Green Tea Latte mix from Sencha Naturals back at the Los Angeles Tea Festival in August 2014. The sample I tried at the festival was really good so I purchased a bag. Since then, I’ve been drinking up my bag of Mango Green Tea latte mix and I need to review this sucker before I drink it all! The ingredients on this green tea mix product is interesting – Organic Coconut Sugar, Organic Coconut Oil, Algae Flour, Organic… Continue reading, hoot!

3 Leaf Tea’s Flavored Matchas – Tea Review

Matcha seems to be getting really popular these days as I see it starting to be sold by many tea sellers. I love flavored matchas – I own a bunch of different flavors with a couple different tea sellers. I don’t often prepare matchas in the traditional whisk/chasen, despite owning the tools. I think bubble/boba tea and Starbucks Green Tea lattes taste so good to me, that I prefer to make matcha as a milk shake blended with ice and milk. With that said, I love a good flavored matchas, it’s a delicious treat. 3 Leaf Tea is a new tea… Continue reading, hoot!

February Simple Loose Leaf Tea Coop Club

It’s February! Time for a short month with both Lunar New Year and Valentines Day! Because of the short month, I feel my monthly boxes are coming so fast and with less time to sample them. This month for the Simple Loose Leaf Tea Coop Club – Lapsang Souchong, Lemon Grass Herbal, Gyokuro Green Tea, Sheng Cha Oolong and Mint Chamomile Rooibus (probably mean rooibos).  They also included more of those cloth infusers. The Tea Owls have been doing their potato sack racings, so they have plenty of cloth infusers. Since the salad spinner has been put away (the salad spinner being… Continue reading, hoot!

Sweet Carrots Green and Basil Lemonade Oolong from Pekoe Sip House – Tea Review

I’m in the mood for something fun. I’ve been drinking lots of unflavored blacks and pu’er these days, I could use some unique teas to inspire me. Pekoe Sip House is based in Boulder Colorado and they have cafe locations and a new online shop! Pekoe Sip House ethically sources their teas, composts at their cafes and donates to local communities and causes. However, what caught my eye is their tea selection – Pekoe Sip House has some really unique tea blends! Persimmon Gelato Rooibos! Green Fig Green tea! Jumpin Juniper White! Pekoe Sip House also has a good selection of… Continue reading, hoot!

Nina’s Paris Teas – Tea Review

November is a busy month for me, and turns out this year it has been busier than usual busy.  I am tackling (and failing at) NaNoWriMo, planning for Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas plans and I have a huge amount of commission work for Tea Owls. My tea drinking has become large tea pot + random black tea I need to drink down just to keep me going. With extra work, I’ve been at home all the time, missing all the sunny California fall weather. With the fall blues, I think it’s a good time to do some tea reviews of teas… Continue reading, hoot!

Chestnut Green Tea from Lupicia – Tea Review

YES! Lupicia’s Chestnut Green Tea is a tea I’ve been questing to get for years now. My first online Lupicia order was during a sale (I think a Black Friday or New Years sale) and when the sale went active this tea went out of stock. Then I never saw it again. Every time I visited a Lupicia physical store I’d ask for Chestnut Green Tea and they were out of stock and direct me to the black tea version. Lupicia has a free shipping deal not too long ago and I saw this tea was in stock, which cinched me jumping… Continue reading, hoot!

Genmacashew Genmaicha from 52 Teas – Tea Review

Zoomdweebies, the tea seller that has the 52 Teas line (a new tea blend out each week!) and the Southern Boy Iced Teas as recently redone their shop and made a few changes. I mostly purchase from the 52 Teas line, especially when there is a really cool tea blend for the week. For the 52 Teas line, Zoomdweebies now sells the tea in 0.5oz/14gram packages instead of the 1.5 or 2 oz packages. That way you can try more and take a gamble on some weird (usually good) teas. I ordered 4 teas that looked fun, Genmacashew Genmaicha, Apple Jack’s… Continue reading, hoot!

September Simple Loose Leaf Selection Club – Tea Review

A little late, but it’s time for the September Simple Loose Leaf Selection Tea Club box! What does drinking tea in September mean to you? I heard from a tea seller once that September is the slowest month for them – is it as everyone is busy with a new school year? The weather is still a little warm for that heavy black tea, but too cool for that pitcher of iced tea? For me, I’m drinking the same amount of tea I always drink – refilling my tea cup all day. Anyways, this month for  Simple Loose Leaf Selection Tea Club my… Continue reading, hoot!
