Nina’s Paris Teas – Tea Review

November is a busy month for me, and turns out this year it has been busier than usual busy.  I am tackling (and failing at) NaNoWriMo, planning for Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas plans and I have a huge amount of commission work for Tea Owls. My tea drinking has become large tea pot + random black tea I need to drink down just to keep me going. With extra work, I’ve been at home all the time, missing all the sunny California fall weather. With the fall blues, I think it’s a good time to do some tea reviews of teas… Continue reading, hoot!

La Perse Saffron Teas

So, when I think of a luxury tea I think of a really old pu’er cake or a taiwanese oolong blended by an old school tea master. What about luxury tea blends? Off the top of my head, teas with mulberries run pricey. How about teas with saffron in it, saffron being a very expensive spice? La Perse, UK tea seller, sells a saffron tea collection! I met this tea seller at the World Tea Expo. From what I read on the website, their teas are fair trade. I have the whole collection here: Black Ceylon Tea, Chamomile Flowers, Royal… Continue reading, hoot!

Tentacle Tea from Pelican Tea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Tentacle Tea is a habanero-infused pu’er blended with meyer lemon, home toasted brown rice, cinnamon and mint. This tea is blended and sold by Pelican Tea, US based online tea seller. I came across Pelican Tea on /r/tea on reddit. Another new tea seller? I decided to check out their tea line up – HOLY HOOTS their tea line up is wild and quite unique! Habanero-infused teas. They habanero infused whites, greens, blacks, pu’ers and oolongs! Tea peeps, I love spicy food. If you see me eat a burrito, before each bite there’s a dash (or 3) of hot sauce. A work friend… Continue reading, hoot!

Raspberry Vanilla Mint Green tea from Simple Loose Leaf – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Raspberry Vanilla Mint Green Tea is a Young Hyson Chinese Green Tea blend with peppermint, raspberry and vanilla Flavor and raspberries. This tea is part of Simple Loose Leaf‘s huge line up for their tea subscription plan. Tea Owls – Simple Loose Leaf! This place is brilliant! Admittedly, I was confused at first glance on how their tea subscription works, but it’s because I was thinking of typical tea subscription methods that I’d get stuck with volume than variety. Simple Loose Leaf tea subscriptions works by you pick out the tea and they’ll send you tea every month. If you… Continue reading, hoot!
