Tea Additions – Adding more flavor to your tea without sweeteners

Wanna add some extra tasty to your tea without adding sugar? Does your tea unfortunately fall flat on flavorings? Need some extra spice in your staple cup of tea? Try some of my tea addition suggestions! 1. Vanilla Bean Pod Say what? This sounds expensive! I buy my vanilla bean pods from Amazon.com, which you can get a big package for cheaper than 4 single pods at a grocery store. I originally got the pods for making my own vanilla extract, however sometimes I use the pods for baking. When using a pod, you slit the vanilla bean open, scrape out of the inner goodies… Continue reading, hoot!

RIP my cute sakura tea pot

/Sad owl My sakura print tea pot broke. ;___; What had happen was I was cleaning my pot. I had done a bit of baking soda scrub to get out the tea stains on the inside, as well as cleaning the spout. The baking soda made the pot slippery and it fell into the sink. And broke. I love having a 2 or 3 serving tea pot instead of a large mug as my tea stays hotter. The crappy part is that I’ve broken a couple of these pots already as I’m a klutz and these pots go through quite… Continue reading, hoot!

Cute Green Tea cup earrings!

More Etsy finds! This time, a pair of green tea earrings! I snagged these earrings from Artwonders on Etsy! Super super cute earrings! More pics! My earrings are very light weight and hang beautifully to show off the contents of the cup – green tea and a tea bag. I had to get these because the detail was very cool and I’m a big sushi eater. I wore these when I went out for sushi and it was awesome! Artwonders on Etsy has a couple other tea related earrings and necklaces which are all very cute. I’ve been very tempted by these earrings… Continue reading, hoot!

My Tea Tale – How I got into tea

My first post for this blog, wooot! So, I was raised on teas. My mom drank mostly asian diet and beauty teas, often every evening after dinner. My family often would go to chinese restaurants very often and I’d drink tall glasses of pu-erh, or share a couple pots of tea that spun around the lazy susan in the middle of the table. My dad, a huge Star Trek buff, the minute he saw Captain Picard on TNG order “Earl Grey, Hot” stocked bagged earl grey teas and drank it on occasion. As an adult, I wasn’t a coffee drinker. I’d drink… Continue reading, hoot!
