Gyokuro Kin from Den’s Tea – Tea Review

Gyokuro Kin is a top grade japanese tea from Den’s Tea, a Japanese green tea seller. This is my first time trying Gyokuro! I got this tea as a sample. But seriously, I don’t think I’d buy it just to try it. At this time, it’s $14 for 2 oz.  Den’s Tea also sells a more expensive gyokuro, Gyokuro Suimei at $23 for 2 oz. With that said, I’m very happy to have a sample of this tea! I was terrified I’d mess up steeping this tea and ending up with an expensive teeny cup of bitter hell. I’ll do my best! Earl Grey Heaven from The Persimmon Tree – Tea Review

Earl Grey Heaven is a creamy earl grey black. This tea is from The Persimmon Tree! Okay, I discovered this tea got a rename from Earl Grey Creme to Earl Grey Heaven. With that said, the packaging on my tea is the old name. My dad LOVES earl grey teas since Captain Picard ordered it. As a kid  we’d sit on the floor (we had couches, but preferred sitting on the floor for TV time) sipping crappy bagged oversteeped earl grey that tasted more bergamont, paper and bitterness. Strawberries & Cream is a green and white tea blend from Della Terra Teas. Oh Della Terra Teas – your sales are amazing and I have a hard time resisting! I’ve done 2 orders in the last few weeks, plus winning a facebook drawing. There is no way I can pass up a strawberry cream green or white tea! Adapted from a recipe by Zojirushi Do you do lots of cold steeps? Wanna reuse your leaves other than the compost bin? This fragrant green tea rice recipe uses steeped green tea leaves, perfect for tea lovers! This recipe can change flavors depending on what green tea you use. Ginger Zinger from Steep City Teas – Tea Review

Ginger Zinger is a white tea blend featuring ginger root, orange peel and peach pieces. This tea comes from Steep City Teas. I was eyeing Steep City Tea’s white teas. I sometimes pass over ginger blends, as in my mind I classify them as “If you tried one, you’ve tried them all” kinda deal. /the audience throws troll hate mail!  No no no,  I do like ginger, don’t get me wrong! Lady Hannah from NM Tea Co – Tea Review

Lady Hannah is a herbal berry tea blend from New Mexico Tea Company (NM Tea Co). Lady Hannah features apple, hibiscus, rosehip, pineapple, papaya, bramble berries, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. First off – with my recent order with NMTea Co I purchased two 1 oz pouches of tea. They both came UNLABELED. NOOOO! Annoyingly, both teas were fruity herbals, but I was just able to tell them apart as one was more cherry whereas Lady Hannah is more berry. I labelled it myself after I figured out what tea was what. Orchid Blend from Physique Teas – Tea Review

Orchid Blend is a berry flavored gaba oolong from Physique Tea, an online seller of bagged slimming and detox teas. Orchid Blend appears to be more of a woman’s tea, as it includes dong quai, the “female gingseng. It also has hibiscus flowers, lotus leaf, garcina and rosehips. Daiso teaware haul

DAISO! I love Daiso! They are sprouting more and more stores too! I originally went to the store in Richmond, BC Canada and was really sad to move out of Canada because at the time they only had the store in Canada and around San Francisco. However now they recently have opened a couple Daisos in my area, in Southern California yay! What’s Daiso? Well, it’s a japanese dollar store. Stuff is all $1.50 ($2 in Canada) and up. Starfruit/Strawberry is a unique fruity white tea blend from ESP Emporium, an online tea seller. Okay – ESP Emporium – your shipping price SUCKS! At the time of this blog post, it’s $7.95 (unless you spend $45, then it’s free). I purchased my tea over a sale weekend, and they sent it First Class USPS with tracking.
