Pineapple Cilantro Cream White Tea from Butiki Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Pineapple Cilantro Cream is a Bai Mu Dan white tea blend. This unique tea is made by Butiki Teas, US online seller of loose leaf teas. Hmm. I do like pineapple, but cilantro? I do buy cilantro often, but mostly as a vegetable offering for my bunny. Cilantro in tea? Odd, but Oolong Owl is always up for a tea adventure! Butiki Teas does really good blends – but also their Flowery Pineapple Oolong is exceptionally delicious. Rhubarb and Cream Black Tea is a loose leaf black tea blend from Whittard of Chelsea. Where has the love for rhubarb gone? Maybe I’m from the wrong generation or in the wrong area of the US. My deep freeze is FULL of rhubarb. My husband went crazy last year with the lack of rhubarb pies because during off season we couldn’t find frozen rhubarb. 2012 Dragon of Jing Mai Pu’er from Yunnan Sourcing – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Dragon of Jing Mai Pu’er is a 2012 ripe/shu tea obtained from Yunnan Sourcing.com. This pu’er is also available on Yunnan Sourcing’s US site. This tea is produced in the Jing Mai area of China. This ripe pu’er cake is a steal! It’s 100 grams and only $5.80 to $6.50 depending on which Yunnan Sourcing site you’re on (at the time of this entry). It also has quite attractive packaging too… Oooh dragons! I am partial to nice designs on Pu’er wrappers. Actually, the cool wrapping and cheap price is probably why I bought this cake. White Peony from Mandala Tea – Oolong Owl Tea Review

White Peony is a 2013 supreme grade white tea. This Yunnan Province grown tea is sold by Mandala Tea, online seller of loose leaf teas. White Peony is also known as Bai Mu Dan, or sometimes written in English as Pai Mu Tan. I do love Mandala Tea‘s goodies. They have amazing pu’er, and a mind blowing milk oolong. How about their white teas? I received this tea as a surprise sample with my order. White Monkey tea is an organic, fair trade green tea sold by Little Red Cup Tea Co. This tea is mountain-grown from western Hunan Province in China. Looking for a tea company that sells only whole leaf, certified organic and fair trade teas? Check out Little Red Cup Tea Co. Their line up is small, but they had a few teas that caught my eye. Idulgashinna Ceylon Green tea is an organic, fair-trade tea from Sri Lanka. This green tea is sold by Single Origin Teas, an online tea seller. Single Origin Teas has quite an interesting collection of teas from various parts of the world: China, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, Morocco and South Africa.
