Periwinkle from The Persimmon Tree – Tea Review

Periwinkle is a black Assam tea blended with vanilla bits and white tea leaf flowers. This loose leaf blend is from The Persimmon Tree. I’ve had only a couple black and white tea blends. One that sticks to my mind is DavidsTea’s Checkmate, a black & white tea blend with chamomile and coconut, which is pretty good. Black and white tea blends seem unusual – they are like polar opposites of dark rich tea vs. gentle floral tea, but somehow work. Rhubarb + Custard from Bluebird Tea Co. – Tea Review

Rhubarb + Custard is a red rooibos blend tea. This funky tea blend is from Bluebird Tea Co.   I love rhubarb! I’m very happy that rhubarb is back in season. My husband waited months and months for rhubarb to come in season, and I immediately made him 2 pies that he ate on his own. Sadly, it seems our local stores rhubarb is pretty sad looking nor could I grow it where I live now, thus rhubarb is a special treat. Milk Oolong Tea from Mandala Tea – Tea Review

Another Oolong Week tea! Go OOLONG WEEK! Milk Oolong is a high-end Taiwanese oolong from Mandala Tea.   Milk oolong is yet another tea type that I’ve had a couple times and wasn’t super impressed or blown away with. The first  milk oolong I tried was bland. The other milk oolongs I tried after that were okay and slightly creamy. I was looking around Steepster and noticed Mandala Tea‘s Milk Oolong was on the first page of being the “best tea” and one of the top rated Oolong teas. Wonders of Kashmir from Della Terra Teas – Tea Review

Wonders of Kashmir is a unique white and green tea blend featuring sweet corn, pineapple, papaya and jasmine. This tea is from Della Terra Teas, an online tea seller of some really creative blends. I bought this tea purely on crazy unique value. Corn? Fruit? Jasmine? YEAH! DRY LEAF: Wonders of Kashmir features some nice big leafy tea mixed with large corn kernels and cubes of fruit. Giant corn! Coconut Oolong from Zen Tea – Tea Review

Today’s tea review is the lovely Coconut Oolong from ZenTeaLife.com! I got this tea as a free sample awhile back and drank it all! It was soooo good! When I was making a  ZenTeaLife.com order, Coconut Oolong was a no brainer addition to my shopping cart. DRY LEAF: Very creamy coconut smell! Orange Brulee is an oolong blend featuring caramel and creme flavoring with orange. This tea is from Della Terra Teas, an online tea seller of very interesting tea blends. You know, they need to do more oolong blends. Before I purchased this tea I was looking over my oolong collection – all floral with a hint of a fruit. Coconut Creme is a creamy white tea blend from online tea seller The Persimmon Tree. Ahhh Coconut Creme. My very first order with The Persimmon Tree I bought a sample of this tea and was blown away. Earl Grey Heaven from The Persimmon Tree – Tea Review

Earl Grey Heaven is a creamy earl grey black. This tea is from The Persimmon Tree! Okay, I discovered this tea got a rename from Earl Grey Creme to Earl Grey Heaven. With that said, the packaging on my tea is the old name. My dad LOVES earl grey teas since Captain Picard ordered it. As a kid  we’d sit on the floor (we had couches, but preferred sitting on the floor for TV time) sipping crappy bagged oversteeped earl grey that tasted more bergamont, paper and bitterness. Strawberries & Cream is a green and white tea blend from Della Terra Teas. Oh Della Terra Teas – your sales are amazing and I have a hard time resisting! I’ve done 2 orders in the last few weeks, plus winning a facebook drawing. There is no way I can pass up a strawberry cream green or white tea!
