Tie Guan Yin Black Tea from Sanne Tea – Tea Review

Hmmm, a Tie Guan Yin Black Tea? That sounds pretty different, sign this owl up! This tea is experimental and processed in smaller batches, made by a second generation tea master. This black tea is from Sanne Tea, online seller of farm to cup Taiwanese Teas. My sample is from September 2014. I like the information listed on the sample, especially the oxidation and roasting level. Dry Leaf Tie Guan Yin Black tea’s leaf looks like matte black ribbons with the odd brown or gold tip. The leaf has a sweet honey scent. Today’s review is 52 Teas’ Maple Cheesecake Tie Guan Yin – everything about this flavored tea sounds amazing! I got this tea with the last 52 Teas kickstarter, which was the one for the 52 Teas management change. I’m pretty happy so far as Anne has been using more interesting tea bases. 52 Teas has a new kickstarter for the Christmas teas and they all look amazing. September White2Tea Club – Qilan Oolongs!

Ooooh, another fun month with the White2Tea Club. When is the White2tea club not fun or an adventure? This month is three teas, Qilan Trees, Qilan Fire, and a 5 year aged Dahongpao brick. All oolongs, hoot! The Qilan Trees and Fire are new oolong offerings at the White2Tea shop, so being in the monthly tea subscription is nice as I get to sample the oolongs. Close up of the DHP! OMG This month’s White2tea club is awesome! I cannot contain my joy when I saw what I got. OOLONG! This month – Fresh Dahongpao, Aged Dahongpao, and Clover Patch Oolong. DROOL! Can I drink them all at once? I quite enjoy these tasting sets for education – I get to learn, try new teas (that some don’t get to try) and drink all the tea! Summus Tea Cold Brew Bottle with Black and Oolong Teas – Tea Review

I purchased this cold brew tea set, along with extra teas from Summus Tea during the World Tea Expo 2015. I had to have it – the tea samples were delicious and the glass bottles were so pretty! Summus Tea sells fine, hand picked, organic Taiwanese teas. Admittedly, I saw a few bottle designs at World Tea Expo, but this one was special. Summus had COLOUR CHANGING BOTTLES! Single Origin Teas Flavored Tea Review

May to me is strawberries and spring teas. I’ve been chugging shou pu’er like it’s going out of style and I really need to switch to greens, whites and young sheng pu’er to get me into Spring and Summer mode. Oriental Beauty from Tea Ave – Tea Review

OOOOOLONG! YEAH! Oolong time! HOOTHOOT! Today’s oolong is Oriental Beauty from Tea Ave, a new oolong only tea seller from my home town of Vancouver, Canada. A few months back I was able to preview a bunch of Tea Ave’s oolongs. Now that they have launched I am able to try their loose leaf! I also have Tea Ave’s aroma cup set.
