I encountered Viridian Tea Company while at World Tea Expo. The owner is also a Fantasy novel writer, and that excites me as I read all sorts of goth, vampire, time travel, fantasy romance stuff with a side obsession with Star Wars THRAWN. I had planned to read her books, but I am still going through the massive Black Dagger Brotherhood and this poor tea is still sitting here. Lime Jello Salad Green Tea from 52 Teas – Tea Review

I remember going to a buffet with my little 5 year old cousin. Buffets, especially back in the early 90’s, always had jello but this buffet in particular only had jello salad. The jello was lime with streaks of red and green cabbage and a little carrot in it. I picked out a large wiggly cube for my little cousin. Turned out, he never had jello before. I’m in the mood for something fun. I’ve been drinking lots of unflavored blacks and pu’er these days, I could use some unique teas to inspire me. Coffee Leaf Tea, Armando’s Original Blend from Wize Monkey – Tea Review

This morning I was in the mood for something different. I’m tired after last nights World of Warcraft session involving my female Panda Warrior (named Alishan)’s tour of shield slamming baddies in heroic dungeons. Shield Charge! SLAM! Panda Panda! Pu-erh Bordeaux from Rishi Tea – Tea Review

Today’s tea review is Rishi Tea’s Pu-erh Bordeaux – an organic and fair trade certified pu’er tea with red wine grape skins, blackberries, raspberries and lavender flowers. Everything in this tea is organic! Awhile back, fellow Steepster members who also are knitters/crocheters did a mystery swap of tea and yarn. I got 3 balls of yarn and this tea – Pu-erh Bordeaux! La Perse Saffron Teas

So, when I think of a luxury tea I think of a really old pu’er cake or a taiwanese oolong blended by an old school tea master. What about luxury tea blends? Off the top of my head, teas with mulberries run pricey. How about teas with saffron in it, saffron being a very expensive spice? La Perse, UK tea seller, sells a saffron tea collection! Country Breakfast Tea is a black tea with maple syrup, lapsang souchong, maple hickory smoked bacon jerky and chai spices – ginger, cardamon, cinnamon, coriander, cloves and black pepper. This wildly creative tea blend is from TeaFolks, tea seller based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their teas can be purchased online. First off, this tea has REAL BACON in it. This tea is not vegetarian! Lemon French Macaron White Tea is a white indian tea tea with almond slivers, amaranth, calendula and vegan organic natural flavoring. This tea is blended and sold by Butiki Teas, online tea seller in New Jersey, USA. I love lemon desserts – lemon pound cake, lemon bars, lemon cookies and lemon meringue pie!
