White2Tea recently opened a new shop, which specializes in teaware – Teaware.House. White2tea does sell some teaware pieces, but Teaware.House expands the beautiful tea ware offerings to “your wallet will weep” mode. There are so many really nice tea ware items, from tea pots, cups, and gaiwans, it is hard to stay in your tea ware budget!
Anyways, I got three items from Teaware.House for review (OMG YES!) and more on the way since I went into a buying frenzy after this package arrived.
Unboxing of Teaware.House
You all know I like to tease you, here’s the box.
Boxes within boxes with lots of bubble wrap.
Hmmm, this is usually a good sign when someone writes a note.
Well, this looks promising…
OOOOOOH BABY! It’s the Azure Ruyao Pancake Tea pot! This tea pot clocks in at 130ml. As you can see there is crackling on the glaze, which will stain over use.
Wow, look at that deep lid!
(ninja edit: inside spout pic)
Alright, next box contains a Sea Storm Glaze Teacup! Ooooh, it kinda looks like a kiwi! This cup is 50ml.

Next up.. a tea pet. So I saw this little guy on teaware.house and I was OMG I NEED THIS TEA PET! You can probably guess what tea pet it is without even seeing the picture.
ROTATE THE OWL!
SQUEEEEEE! The owl crew!
So that everything is unboxed, let’s take everything to the tea table and test all these teawares out!
The Azure Ruyao Pancake Tea pot has a nice wide lid, so lots of room to jam wide slabs of pu’er as well as easily pour hot water into.
The pour? A little slow, but very clean and nice. The lid fits perfectly so covering the hole on the top stops the pouring. I also found that deep lid design stops from the lid flying off when pouring. The filter does a great job for big leafed teas. An excellent quality tea pot! I am super impressed with the Azure Ruyao Pancake Tea pot!
Look at the sweat on the azure ruyao tea pot, so pretty!
The Sea Storm Glaze Teacup is also lovely. It is a low wide style, and the glaze pattern peeks through the tea to add interest. It doesn’t look 50ml since the cup is low and wide, but it does hold 50ml and is nice to drink from. It is a unique cup, I never seen one like it!
The Little Owl Ruyao Tea Pet? You know I love him! The white ruyao glaze will stain with tea over time, making the owl age interestingly. My tea pets get pretty stained, so ruyao is the way to go for me! Of course, the Owl Tea Pet got oolong poured on it first! Oolong Owl!
I am very impressed with what I got from Teaware.House. The quality of all the teaware is very good, the prices are fair. There is a range of cheaper (but also attractive) items, to expensive artist items. Many pieces I’ve only seen for sale at Teaware.House and no where else! You can also build a full set of matching teaware!
Right now, Teaware.House is doing free shipping for orders over $40, so I’d jump in while the shipping is cheap!
