Classic Matcha Bundle – Kanoyama & Umezuki Matcha from Tezumi

I’m trying a new to me tea vendor today – Tezumi! They asked me to try some of their teas and I’m starting with their matchas. Kanoyama and Umezuki Matcha are sold separately but also in the Classic Bundle for a deal. Both are single origin teas and the cheapest out of all their matchas. 2021 October White2tea Club feat. Liu An and Shou Samples

Finally, the 2021 October White2tea club! This month is a sampling extravaganza of White2tea’s latest teas. (yes yes, I’m behind a few months on the White2tea club as it is February – I’m catching up!) 2021 Liu An Gongjian I’ve had Liu An only a handful of times and half the experiences I wasn’t brewing it. Another Atlas Tea Club box! If you didn’t see my previous post on the Thailand and Nepal boxes, Atlas Tea Club features a new tea region a month. Tangerine Peel White Tea from Teavivre

I procrastinated for years to get white tea stuffed into an orange. Finally, I purchased some off Teavivre when they had a sale and I had a lot of points. Tangerine Peel White is from Fuding, known for its excellent white teas. When I am sick or feeling off, my tea of choice is chenpi shou. Oolong or black tea stuffed into an orange is also banging. 2021 December Old Ways Tea Club

Old Ways Tea club, let’s go! December’s box has 2021 Yua Hua Dong Rou Gui, Zhang Ping Shui Xian, Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, and Persimmon slices. The persimmon slices did not last long. Last year we got them. In anticipation of said persimmon slices, I went on a rampage buying 12lbs of persimmons, dehydrated and ate them all. International shipping really screwed me on the August White2tea club package – I got it in late November. Something about August packages that were really slow. Now I’m catching up. Roam, Big Red, & Intergalactic Black teas from Crimson Lotus Tea

Crimson Lotus Teas, who does some amazing puer, made their own Dian Hong black tea cakes! I got all three samples – Roam, Big Red, and Intergalactic. These black teas are blended by Crimson Lotus Tea, all with different flavor profiles. Crimson Lotus Tea’s Roam Dian Hong Black Tea Roam is labeled as the daily drinker blend out of the batch. The leaves have a malty and honey straw scent. All black teas today I gongfu styled at 1 gram per 15ml leaf to vessel ratio, steeped with boiling water. Bama & Ultra Violet Hong Cha from West China Tea

I got a pile of hong cha from West China Tea, a vendor in Austin, Texas. Feeling like black teas, I found a pair of black teas from Nannuo mountain! Similar to my previous review of West China Tea, this is tea from farmer Li Shulin. Bama Hong Cha from West China Tea Bama Hong Cha is sun dried black tea made with tea leaves usually reserved for puer. The leaves have some gold tips and thin pieces with a sour cherry scent.
