Oolong Peach is an oolong and green tea blend featuring peach flavoring and rose hips. This tea blend comes from Della Terra Teas. I snagged this as a free sample with my Della Terra Teas order during one of those “30% off and free sample” deals. Nice sample size – enough for 2-3 cups of tea. DRY LEAF: Interesting dry leaf appearance – theres a mix of tightly bunched dark oolong with some longer thinner tea leaves, as well as some finer green tea pieces, along with a couple peachy colour rose buds. Mrs. Li’s Shi Feng Dragonwell is a green tea from Verdant Tea. This dragonwell is organically produced, hand picked and roasted by the Li family in Shi Feng, Dragonwell Village in the Zhejiang Province of China. My tea owlets, I admit, the dragonwells I’ve had so far I wasn’t very impressed with. Though, I’m not sure how old the dragonwells I had were. Verdant Tea was taking preorders for their spring teas, and I figured I should give Mrs. Li’s Shi Feng Dragonwell a shot. Autumn Harvest Laoshan Green is a green tea from Verdant Tea. Autumn Harvest Laoshan Green is from the He family farm in Laoshan Village, Shandong Province, China. I have a giant pile of teas and samples that I haven’t gotten around to trying yet. It is pretty bad. While I was waiting for my rice to cook, I figure I should get the gaiwan going. Wonders of Kashmir from Della Terra Teas – Tea Review

Wonders of Kashmir is a unique white and green tea blend featuring sweet corn, pineapple, papaya and jasmine. This tea is from Della Terra Teas, an online tea seller of some really creative blends. I bought this tea purely on crazy unique value. Corn? Fruit? Jasmine? YEAH! DRY LEAF: Wonders of Kashmir features some nice big leafy tea mixed with large corn kernels and cubes of fruit. Giant corn! Jasmine Blueberry from Art of Tea – Tea Review

Jasmine Blueberry is a floral and fruity green tea blend from Art of Tea. DRY LEAF: Interestingly, the dry leaf smells mostly like blueberries! Just a smidgen of jasmine scent. The dry leaf consists of tightly spun dark green tea accented with dime sized blueberries, with the odd jasmine bud. STEEPED: I followed the steeping instructions of 185F for 5 minutes. Geeze, I haven’t steeped a tea for this long for awhile. While I wait 5 minutes, I grabbed a jellyfish to share my tea with. Liquid Jade from Art of Tea – Tea Review

Liquid Jade is an organic green and white blend with bergamont. This award winning blend is from Art of Tea. When I saw this tea in Art of Tea‘s lineup I was intrigued. I do love “fresh” teas that add some relief to this dry, hot California weather. Let’s give this tea a try! DRY LEAF: Liquid Jade, from the package, smells lightly of bergamont. Yum! The tea leaves are a mix of varying shades of green and brown. Gyokuro Standard (Kurihara Tea) via Yunomi.us – Tea Review

Gyokuro Standard is a 2012 Ichibancha first flush Gyokuro from Kurihara Tea, which I recieved from Yunomi.us. Ahhh Gyokuro. I need more of this tea in my life. I want to experiment more with steeping times, but this tea is on the pricey side as well as having a short shelf life. I’m in conflict as they seem like a tea I should save for special occasions  but gyokuro feels so full of energy that I need to have them often! King of Fruits is a green tea durian fruit blend from Lupicia, a lovely online japanese tea seller. DURIAN!! O_O You know, this evil fruit: Durian smells funky. Like sweaty onions’ gym socks. Onions wear gym socks? I’ve had durian a handful of times, but mostly in bubble/boba tea. I could probably convince my husband to buy one, but he doesn’t have a great sense of smell so he’ll be fine – but the durian smell will probably drive the rest of my house crazy. Ankara Apple is a fruity spiced green tea from Bluebird Tea Co, an online tea seller from the UK. Bluebird Tea Co tea attracted a wild amigurumi bird/penguin.. thing! I saw Kitty Loves Tea review some teas from Bluebird Tea Co and I was all like “Man, I want to try these guys! They got really cool teas!” But, at the time they weren’t doing international shipping.
