Holy Pu’er cakes! Princess Cruises‘ Afternoon Tea is amazing! On my last cruise, I had just 3 days to have afternoon tea. My most recent cruise to Hawaii I was on a 15 day cruise. I only missed 2 afternoon teas. Intern Tea Owl, Aloha Owl (he was called Sunset Owl, but after Hawaii he wants to be called Aloha Owl), Tea hating Husband and I ate so many mini sandwiches and cakes. We also had lots of fun and ate way too much food! We went to afternoon tea so much they had my hot water for my loose leaf… Continue reading, hoot!

Coconut Dream from New Mexico Tea Company – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Coconut Dream is an organic Korakundah estate black tea with coconut. This tea blend is from New Mexico Tea Company, an US tea seller. I’m in a tropical kind of mood. I think my head is still in vacation cruise mode as I snack on the treats I brought back from Hawaii. For some reason, I’m not getting sick of pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts. It’s a sign! I should move to Hawaii! Hmm.. I wonder if there are Owls in Hawaii…. /google searches… ah ha, Pueo! Hoot! I wonder if they like tea? Anyways, let’s have some tea! Intern… Continue reading, hoot!

Steepster Select Unboxing – December 2013 Teas – Oolong Owl Tea Review

Steepster Select is a monthly fine teas sampler. At this time, for $24.95 a month, you’ll get a nice box of tea sent to you. In that box of tea, two servings each of 5 different teas, or 10 servings. I was very excited to see Steepster revived Steepster Select. I love Steepster for keeping track of my teas, tea discussions, learning more about tea and meeting other tea lovers. By the way, I’m Awkward Soul on Steepster – if you are a member, be sure to say hi! My Steepster Select box arrived while I was on vacation, so this is a little late of a review. Let’s unbox!… Continue reading, hoot!

Hawaii Tea Haul! Oolong Owl’s Cruise to Hawaii part 1

I’ve recently got back from my Princess Cruise to Hawaii! Yay for last minute cruise sales! Anyways, my cruise was interesting and the itinerary changed. The plan was – start in Los Angeles, sail for 4 days, then stop in Maui, Hilo, Honolulu and Nawiliwili. A couple days  in  our ship had to change course, as instructed by the Coast Guard, to assist in a search mission. The Grand Princess, another ship heading to Hawaii, had a crew member go overboard. After a day and a half circling around the Pacific Ocean, we were released (with no luck finding the poor… Continue reading, hoot!

SoHo Blend from Harney & Sons – Oolong Owl Tea Review

SoHo Blend is a chocolate and coconut chinese black tea blend from Harney & Sons, an US based tea company. Hurray, Harney & Sons! I did an order with them around Black Friday to snag some tea ware gifts and tins and while I was there I decided to get some tea samples. SoHo Blend has been on my wishlist for awhile, as I do love coconut teas. I quite like how Harney & Sons does samples, so for only $2  I can about 2 or 3 servings of tea to try out. Harney & Sons has pretty slick packaging on their samples. It attracted the gal… Continue reading, hoot!

The Glass Perfect Tea Mug from DAVIDsTea – Oolong Owl Tea ware review

My father, who lives near a DAVIDsTea store in Vancouver Canada, purchased this Glass Perfect Tea Mug for me. Hurray for having a Canadian tea mule! I own DAVIDsTea Bubble Tea pot, which is quite nice and their Steeper, which is also a solid product, however I never tried their Perfect Tea Mugs. Let’s unwrap and try out DAVIDsTea‘s Glass Perfect Tea Mug! The Glass Perfect Tea Mug I picked out was a seasonal one, I think 2013 Spring – Glass Peacock design. Inside! Ooooh, shiny! The Glass Perfect Tea Mug is a 3 piece set: Mug, Tea Strainer and lid. As usual, David’s Perfect… Continue reading, hoot!
